Water charges per flat
Most apartments work out water from a meter-reading sheet. Nestie keeps that sheet: you enter each flat’s water amount with the month’s dues, and can attach the sheet. Nestie does not calculate water usage itself.
Apartment maintenance app
Raise each month’s maintenance for every flat, see who has paid and who is pending, and close the month with a statement every owner can read.

Most small apartments run maintenance the same way: a fixed amount each month, a water charge that differs by flat, and someone who keeps track. It works until it doesn’t.
Nestie keeps each flat’s dues as a record of its own, with its own status, so these questions have a clear answer.
From raising dues to closing the month, this is the workflow in the app.
The coordinator creates dues for every flat at once: the maintenance amount, plus each flat’s water charge.
Each owner sees the amount, the due date and what is left to pay. Payments can be made in parts.
Each payment is recorded against the flat and gets a receipt. The status moves from Due to Partially paid or Paid.
Unpaid dues turn Overdue after the grace period. The coordinator reviews the month and closes it with a statement.
The Home screen shows each owner their own dues for the month, how much the apartment has collected, how many flats have paid, and the fund balance.
The coordinator and watchman see every flat for the month with its status spelled out: Due, Partially paid, Paid, Overdue, Disputed or Waived. Earlier outstanding amounts stay visible separately, so arrears never disappear into this month’s total.
Recording the payments themselves is covered on the maintenance collection page.

A new amount applies from a date you choose. Earlier months keep the amount they had, so past dues are never rewritten.
An owner can dispute a due with a reason, linked to an issue. The due stays visible as outstanding until the committee settles it.
Maintenance is only half the story. Nestie also records what the association spends it on: watchman salaries, common-area electricity, cleaning, garbage, lift AMC, water tankers and repairs. Each expense can carry its bill, vendor and payment reference.
Regular costs such as salaries and electricity appear as upcoming payments, and the coordinator is reminded before they fall due. When the month closes, the statement shows money in and money out side by side. More on that in apartment accounts and statements.
Yes. The maintenance amount can be the same for every flat while the water charge differs, and each flat’s total is its own record.
Yes. Partial payments are recorded against the due, and the remaining balance is shown to the owner and the coordinator.
They stay visible as outstanding, separately from the current month, until they are paid or the committee approves an adjustment.
Owners are notified inside the app and by email when dues are raised, when a due date is near and when a due becomes overdue. WhatsApp and SMS reminders are not part of Nestie today.
